Job Duties & Responsibilities
Daily Site Visits
Site Safety
- Ensure OSHA regulations are followed by all trades
- Correct any unsafe behavior
Jobsite Cleanliness and Organization
- Lead by example in maintaining a clean and organized site
- Instruct subcontractors to clean up and organize their materials daily
Quality Control
- Meet and exceed all quality requirements – "Good enough is not good enough"

Photos and Videos
- Take daily photos in Company Cam and share with the Epic team
- Organize and save construction photos to project files
- Record video of all rough-ins before insulation starts, highlighting:
- Electrical (lights, outlets, unusual placements)
- Mechanical ductwork and gas lines
- Plumbing lines and vent pipes
General Duties
- Move equipment, trailers, and materials on site as needed
- Maintain a "do whatever it takes" attitude
- Be willing to get hands dirty and complete tasks personally when capable
Communicating with Subcontractors
- Enforce jobsite cleanliness and material organization
- Post and communicate specs on-site; confirm accuracy with project plans
- Prepare subs with all needed materials/specs before start date
- Gather missing specs from PMs or designers
- Confirm contract specs are followed on site
- Coordinate subcontractor start times and walkthroughs
- For out-of-town projects, group trade meetings on the same day
- Use Bluebeam to share info as needed
Communicating with Vendors
- Coordinate delivery schedules
- Arrange for material returns and pickups
- Ensure materials for return are neat and unused items are either stored or disposed of
- Order additional materials as needed
Communicate with Project Manager
- Discuss project financial changes (scope, change orders, etc.)
- Provide daily updates to PM for live schedule adjustments
- Upload site photos daily to Company Cam and collaborate with PM
Project Close-Out
- Complete punch list before move-in date
- Track outstanding items for seasonal completion (e.g. A/C install in spring)
- Schedule and track final punch list and warranty follow-ups
- Provide office with all documents for post-construction binder:
- Product manuals
- Homeowner maintenance info
- With PM, conduct new home orientation with client:
- Walkthrough with trades explaining systems
- Deliver and review the maintenance guide and binder
Client Interactions
- Always maintain professionalism – “We work for them”
- Let the PM remain the primary point of contact
- Respect the chain of command to avoid client confusion
